About Coach Rees:

Katy Rees, a Bolingbrook, IL native, has been coaching soccer for 4 years. She took no time off between playing and coaching as she rejoined the team of her alma mater as assistant coach immediately after graduating. She was with the program at Monmouth College for a total of 8 years, 4 as a player and 4 as a coach. In that time, she took 4 trips to the Midwest Conference Championship tournament, including 1 appearance to the NCAA tournament. While coaching at Monmouth, she also earned her master’s degree in Sport Management at Western Illinois University. Katy’s other coaching experiences include working alongside the staff at the University of Wisconsin coaching their youth and academy camps as well as the youth camps at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She also trained a U9 boys team for the Bolingbrook Raiders in the summer of 2016 and helped out with several other teams as well. Since the end of her college career, Katy enjoys playing pick-up soccer, Y-leagues, and adult league tournaments whenever she can find them. In May of 2020, she moved to Arizona where she is working towards her ACE Personal Training certification and looking to pursue a career in coaching & fitness.
